This performance was recorded in a single take onstage at the Playhouse at White Lake during the COVID-19 Pandemic and subsequently broadcast to patrons of the theater.

For this piece, I decided to take a subtle approach to the mixing and augment what the artist did so beautifully. I performed minimal EQ work on the guitar to preserve most of the original tone. I used the Waves H-Series Compressor plugin to give the vocals a rich, vintage flavor and payed meticulous attention to the variance of dynamics, striving for a balance between the prestigious level of range in the untreated recording and a level accessible to viewers listening at home through television or computer speakers.
