This project was developed by the Michigan Tech enterprise Cinoptic. It documents the efforts of a Houghton county local using his knowledge of environmentalism and help from the community to construct a sustainable solution to rapid erosion on his seawall resulting from severe lake effect storms.

This project was created for Michigan Tech's documentary class. Following the Event Coordinator for campus's Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Malissa recounts her experiences and observations on visibility growing up as a Black woman in America and how it has shaped her career as a counselor and scholar.
